Starry Night Outdoor Lighting is a Charleston-based outdoor lighting company specializing in custom landscape, architectural, and outdoor living lighting throughout the Lowcountry. Inspired by Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night, we approach outdoor lighting as both a craft and an art, using light to highlight the architecture, landscaping, and unique character of each property.
Rather than designing around a specific number of fixtures, we focus on the finished result. Every system is thoughtfully designed around the property using professional-grade materials and installation methods suited for Charleston's coastal environment. Our goal is simple: create beautiful, reliable outdoor lighting that feels like it was always meant to be there.

OUR Founder
Patrick Keat's passion for working outdoors began in landscaping, where he quickly moved into leadership roles before eventually starting his own landscaping company. He later moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston, earning a bachelor's degree in Psychology. After graduation, he spent time working in marketing but ultimately realized that building a business and working outdoors was where he belonged.
Combining his background in landscaping, business, and design, Patrick founded Starry Night Outdoor Lighting with a different approach to the industry: focus on the property and the finished design rather than simply the number of fixtures being installed. His landscaping experience gives him an understanding of how plants, trees, architecture, and outdoor spaces work together, allowing each lighting system to be designed as part of the property rather than an afterthought.
